O que mudou

Use cases

Imagine you need to centralize web application firewall security logs in your lakehouse for analysis and auditing. This managed connector brings data from the Akamai SIEM API incrementally.

  • Ingest Akamai WAF security events into Databricks.
  • Authenticate connections using Akamai EdgeGrid API client credentials.
  • Automate schema evolution for new or removed columns.

How to use

Authentication requires Akamai EdgeGrid API client credentials, including the client host, client token, client secret, and access token.

Limitations and requirements

This feature is in Beta. UI-based pipeline authoring is not supported; you must use the API or Bundles. API-based row filtering and SCD Type 2 are also not supported. Workspace admins must enable the feature from the Previews page.

Using it in a pipeline

Security events land in the Bronze layer of your lakehouse, allowing security analysts to process and join the data with other sources in the Silver and Gold layers.
