O que mudou

Use cases

Imagine you need to centralize development metrics, CI/CD pipeline data, and security information from GitLab alongside your analytical data. With the managed GitLab connector in Lakeflow Connect, you can:

  • Ingest repository, group, project, CI/CD, and security data into Databricks.
  • Run incremental ingestion automatically.
  • Govern your data directly using Unity Catalog.

How to use

Initial setup and pipeline creation use Catalog Explorer and supported Lakeflow Connect interfaces. A workspace admin must first enable the feature from the Previews page and configure OAuth U2M authentication.

Limitations and requirements

  • This feature is in Beta.
  • Requires a workspace admin to turn on Lakeflow Connect for GitLab from the Previews page.
  • Supports only OAuth U2M authentication (OAuth M2M and basic authentication are not supported).
  • Tables with VARIANT columns do not support SCD Type 2.
  • Automated schema evolution supports new and deleted columns, but data type changes and column renames are not supported (they require a full refresh).
  • API-based row filtering is not supported.
