Natural Language Discovery for Snowflake Marketplace Listings

The Agentic Marketplace Discovery feature lets you find products on the public Snowflake Marketplace by chatting with CoCo. It helps you locate listings, compare options, and perform actions like installations and trials right inside the conversation.

Use cases

Imagine you need weather data for a project and want to avoid manually browsing categories. With this feature, you can:

• Search for products, data, and apps by describing your use case in natural language.
• Compare coverage, granularity, and refresh cadence across listings.
• Install free data or start trials and sales requests directly from the chat interface.

How to use

Open the Snowflake Marketplace in Snowsight and switch to agentic discovery mode.

1. Sign in to Snowsight and select Marketplace in the navigation menu.
2. On the Discover tab, select Agentic discovery.
3. Type what you are working on in the prompt field or choose a suggested prompt.
4. Review the listing cards returned by CoCo and ask follow-up questions to refine results or get more details.
5. Complete the acquisition form shown in the chat to finish the installation or start a trial.

Limitations and requirements

• Available in Public Preview for all accounts.
• Applies only to the public Snowflake Marketplace, not the Internal Marketplace.
• Requires access to CoCo in Snowsight, with your role holding the SNOWFLAKE.COPILOT_USER database role and either SNOWFLAKE.CORTEX_USER or SNOWFLAKE.CORTEX_AGENT_USER.
• Listing actions require standard consumer privileges, such as CREATE DATABASE and IMPORT SHARE.
