Productboard connector available in Beta in Lakeflow Connect

Imagine you need to centralize product planning data, customer feedback, and roadmaps in Databricks for cross-analysis. With this Lakeflow Connect connector, you can:

  • Ingest product hierarchy, roadmaps, and objectives straight from Productboard.
  • Bring in customer feedback notes and workspace member data.
  • Automate workflows using the UI, configuration bundles, or the API.

How to use

The initial setup uses Unity Catalog connections and Server-to-Server OAuth authentication. To create the ingestion pipeline via the UI or SDK, you point to the connection created in Catalog Explorer.

Limitations and requirements

  • This feature is in Beta and must be enabled by a workspace admin from the Previews page.
  • Only the notes table supports incremental ingestion.
  • Tables with VARIANT columns do not support SCD Type 2.
  • Data type changes or column renames require a full refresh.
  • Authentication is only supported via OAuth M2M (Server-to-Server with JWT).

Using it in a pipeline

This tool fits into the Bronze layer of your lakehouse, automating the extraction of SaaS data from Productboard into managed Unity Catalog tables before downstream data engineering transformations.
